Overview
The department was started in the hospital in the year 2013 under the stewardship of Dr.Ganapathi Bhat & Dr Ashwin Baliga. They are responsible for nurturing the department through its initial phase and making it well known all over the district.

PICU
- One to one nursing
- Facilities for ongoing continuous monitoring of children like pulse oximetry, cardiac monitors, humidified oxygen, CPAP and ventilator care.
NICU
- One to one nursing
- Incubator care for management of extreme low birth weight and preterm babies
- Facilities for ongoing continuous monitoring of newborn like cardiac monitoring, pulse oximetry, humidified oxygen, CPAP, ventilator care.
- Portable ultrasound / 2 D Echo cardiogram, portable x-ray
- Neonatal hearing screen
- Screening for retinopathy in newborns.
