Our B.Sc. CCT (Bachelor of Science in Cardiac Care Technology) is a specialised undergraduate course in the medical field focussing primarily on diagnosis, assessment and treatment of patients with cardiac disease using a range of supportive procedures such as electrocardiography (ECG), echocardiography (echo) and treadmill stress test (TMT). The program prepares the candidate to utilize modern tools and techniques while acquiring good organizational, communication and time management skills and to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team. This program is designed for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and have a passion for helping others. Cardiac Care technologists specialize in invasive cardiology, cardiac sonography, vascular technology/sonography, electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress testing and Holter monitors.

Eligibility

candidates must pass Class 12 in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or its equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate score of 50%.

Skills Required for B.Sc. Cardiac Care Technology

Students should possess certain skills to pursue a BSc Cardiac Technology course. Analytical, decision-making, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, medical aptitude and communication skills are essential.

HOSPITAL POSTING

From first year onwards, students are posted to relevant departments of the hospital to gain exposure to the actual working of the departments and need to maintain a log record their observations and recommendations.

TEACHING AND ASSESSMENT

During each year, students’ performance is assessed through Continuous Evaluation, Sessional exams and Class tests.
