OVERVIEW

The B.Sc. CCT (Cardiac Care Technology) offered by Father Muller College of Allied Health Sciences under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), is an academic program with significant scope in today’s world of advanced cardiac care.

Cardio Care Technologists assist cardiologists in providing technical and clinical support in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular conditions. They prepare patients for angiogram, angioplasty, device closures and implanting pacemakers, and also monitor patients during these procedures.

KEY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

  • Impart and apply knowledge and understanding of the structure and function of the human body as related to cardiac care technology.
  • Develop an independent, well-trained, qualified cardiovascular technologist.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests like ECG, TMT, Holter Monitoring, Ambulatory BP monitoring, Transthoracic Echo, and assist interventional cardiologists during invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization, transesophageal echocardiography, and angioplasties.
  • Be responsive to the care of the community, continuously improving knowledge and abilities.
