Course Highlight4 years including Internship
The program provides specialized training in renal physiology, dialysis
procedures and patient care, preparing graduates for careers as renal
dialysis technicians or related healthcare professionals. They prepare
the patients & monitor dialysis treatment. They frame protocols for
equipment evaluation & Training materials for patients & staff under
the expert guidance of qualified doctors & nurses. The knowledge and
abilities needed in the current advanced renal unit, complete with a
classroom of excellent infrastructure, will be provided on this course.
Eligibility Criteria
- A candidate seeking admission shall have studied English as one of the principal subject
during the tenure of the course and for those seeking admission shall have passed Two
Year Pre-University or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as
principal subjects of study.
- Pre-Degree course from a recognized University considered as equivalent by RGUHS, (Two
years after ten years of schooling) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as principal
subjects of study.
- Any equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences,
Bangalore for the above purpose with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as principal
subjects of study.
- The vocational higher secondary education course conducted by Vocational Higher
Secondary Education, Government of Kerala with five subjects including Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is
considered equivalent to plus TWO examinations of Government of Karnataka Pre University
Course.

Dialysis professionals have a range of job opportunities in the
Hemodialysis Unit/Peritoneal Dialysis Units of large teaching hospitals,
private and country hospitals, nephrology/dialysis clinics, home
healthcare agencies, medical device companies, and other healthcare
settings.
