OVERVIEW
The department of Paediatrics was established in the year 2006 as part of the Father Muller homoeopathic medical college. The Paediatric department was separated from the Medicine department in view of starting a speciality subject on Paediatrics for the post graduate students from 2007.
The department has a HOD room with Departmental books and a classroom cum museum opposite to it.Selection of residents is made once a year by entrance examinations and students join from various parts of the country.
The staff are involved in patient care in the OPD & Peripheral mobiles on regular basis

Academic activities
- Currently there are 9 students pursuing their PG studies in the department with 3 in each batch.
- Regular PG classes as per the teaching plan are going on in the Paediatric Department.
- Regular classes for UG in Paediatrics taken by the staff and PG’s.
- The PG synopsis for their thesis topic is approved by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
- The PG students have 3 months of specialty postings in the Fr Muller Medical College in the NICU, PICU and OPD respectively.
- The PG students have regular rotatory postings in different units and peripheral mobile centers
