Rapid growth in scientific knowledge indicates the quest for discovery and impacts economic and societal development. Research and developmental activities create and disseminate new knowledge in various fields, promote innovation, and motivate better learning and teaching among faculties and students of our Institutions. Research is the foundation of new knowledge that brings new energy, builds state-of-the-art facilities, promotes research publications, develops collaborations, and becomes part of an active community that shares the mission objectives.
The Research Policy is to inculcate research culture among the staff and students of our Institutions. The policy shall serve as a guideline for all research-related activities, comply with all necessary statutory and other requirements, and adhere.
The Research Policy applies to all faculty and students involved in research activities and also to such of those researchers use the facilities for research in all our continuant units under Father Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI)
To create and foster a center of Excellence for Medical Research
The Head of Research carries out the implementation and updating of the Research Policies with the Research advisory committee under Director FMCI. The Research Managing committee assist and advise on research matters within FMRC.
Faculty members and Students of constituent colleges of FMCI want to undertake research activities for scientific publications, presentations in National/International conferences of repute, generation of Intellectual property with potential for commercialization, socially beneficial research activity.
For all faculty recruitments, Research output will be considered one of the criteria. All Faculty promotion in FMCI depends upon their research contributions in the quality publication in high-impact journals and the research work undertaken through various funding agencies.
Overall management of research activities coordinated by FMRC under the Director FMCI / Head of Research (FMRC). The management committee, Research advisory committee, and other statutory committees shall be responsible for the overall functioning of research activities within the FMCI. Each Institution's research activities are coordinated by the head of the Institutions or the nominations from each Institute
