OVERVIEW

Neurologists provide broad spectrum medical care to the patients which includes consultation, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, prevention and rehabilitation to a variety of neurological conditions. Cerebrovascualr accidents, Movement disorders, dementia, epilepsy, myelopathy, peripheral neuropathy and neuromuscular disorders are few among the vast medical conditions treated by the neurologists . Procedures such as Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Electromyography (EMG) and Electroencephalogram (EEG) are performed.

Outpatient Services

There are two medical units (consisting of 1 staff member each) providing outpatient care to all patients. Sub Specialty clinics are as follows:

  • Monday- Stroke Clinic
  • Tuesday- Movement Disorder Clinic
  • Wednesday-Headache Clinic
  • Thursday-Cognition Disorder and Neuromuscular Clinic
  • Friday-Epilepsy Clinic
  • Saturday-Pediatric Neurology clinic
Inpatient Services

The inpatient general and subspecialty wards are as follows:

  • General Medical – Male and female
  • MICU-Medical Intensive Care Unit for critically ill
  • Neurology ward
  • Subspecialty care
