This year’s Adrenaline marked one of the biggest college festivals in Karnataka. It was a pinnacle of success in both cultural, literary sport activities.
An amazing feat of 15 different sports events were conducted which marks the highest in a college fest in South India.
It also banked the highest number of colleges (61) participating in the sport events in Karnataka.
The incredible number of participants (1945) that came along with the colleges also shows the efficiency of conduction of sport events. This number was also among the highest in a college fest.
With the amount of effort put into the organisation, the number of matches conducted in a day was 66 on the ground. Everything was coordinated with utmost perfection and carefulness in order to practise fairness and sportsmanship.There were also a massive number of 46 different referees from all over the city, each one with undivided attention and equally involved in helping out with the conduction of the sport events.
Thus, it marked one of the biggest sport extravaganza for University students from all over South India.
Adrenaline 2020, the annual intercollegiate, literary, cultural and sports fest was conducted from 19.02.2020 to 22.02.2020.
With intra-collegiate events beginning 2 weeks prior to the main event: students were engaged in the first Open Mic event held in Father Muller Medical College on the beautiful evening of 15.02.2020 with over 30 students from various batches showcasing their talents to an enthralled audience at the Amphitheatre.
Another first for the students of Father Mullers came in the form of the Treasure Hunt organized on 16.02.2020 which had students in groups representing various batches of MBBS and AHS battled their way into the ultimate quest.The City Centre, Mangalore was gracious enough to permit us to conduct the annual mall event as a promotion of Adrenaline. It was held on 09.02.2020.
The inauguration ceremony for Adrenaline was conducted on 19.02.2020 with Ms. Cecille Rodrigues, First Runner up of Dance India Dance Super Moms-2013 gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries.
With participation from over 50 colleges all around Karnataka for the 38 events and 7 workshops held, Adrenaline 2020 was a grand success.
The first ever Inter-collegiate Hockey tournament that Mangalore witnessed was held as a part of Adrenaline 2020. The audience were spellbound by the 3 pro shows, Flow art by Swaroop Shetty and Nishitha J A, Bangalore based band, Mad Orange Fireworks and DJ Martin D’Souza.
Adrenaline2020 also boasts of conducting the a two-day Art Exhibition and Sale, Kriti for the very first time in FMMC.
World Elders Day was celebrated at St Antony Ashram, Jeppu on 14th October ,2019.The students and staff incharge Dr Sanjay Fernandez interacted with the old people from the ashram this occasion. Biscuits and Bananas were given to nearly 400 inmates. The inmates were very happy with the interaction and the love shown by the students and staff.
National Integration Day celebration at DM hall on 19th November, 2019. Lieutenant Col. Gracian Seqeuira was the chief guest on this occasion. NYSS District Youth coordinator, Raghuveer Southerpete was also present to embrace the occasion. The Director, Administrator of Medical college and Hospital, the Dean of Father Muller Medical college and Student development staff co-ordinator were also present to grace the occasion.
The Annual interbatch Literary and Cultural fest was named INFERNO for the year 2019 and was conducted by the Student Council 2019-20 along with the students of MBBS Batch 2016.
The Chief Guest for the inauguration ceremony held on 27.09.2019 was Dr. Ashutosh R. Boloor and presided by the Director, Rev Fr. Richard Coelho while the fest was concluded on 01.10.2019 with the Director, Rev. Father Richard Coelho presiding over and handing MBBS Batch 2016 with the trophy of Overall Winners and MBBS Batch 2017 with Runner Up.
Spanning over 5 days, the annual culturals with music, dance, fine arts and literary event with the introduction of a new event, Mime for the first time, Inferno was nothing short of a grand cultural extravaganza.
MULLERPULSE, the annual college magazine and a perfect representation of the spirit and creativity of FMMC’s student body and was released on 14th Sept 2019
The programme was presided over by Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Administrator of FMMCH and Ms Vidya Dinkar, Social Activist and President of the Indian Social Action Forum was invited as the Chief Guest. They were joined on stage by other members of the management, Staff Advisor Dr Cimona D’Souza and members of the Student Council.
The much awaited release of Mullerpulse had the students cheering as the dignitaries unveiled the year’s magazine, titled ‘CREATE’.
Rev Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa and Ms Vidya Dinkar, in their address to the gathering, congratulated the Editorial Board for their work and stressed on the importance of creativity, art and literature in one’s life. The student Editor of Mullerpulse, Ms Sanjana Mathew also spoke about her journey and experiences.
The function also marked the Inauguration of the new Student Council 2019-20 and a new set of students took stage to take up their duties and responsibilities as the new representative body of the students.The solemn function ended with the college anthem and the distribution of Mullerpulse 2019 to all staff and students.
The 5th Edition of Muller Model United Nations organized by the Student Development Committee 2018-19 was a two-day conference aimed at boosting an interest in international policies and public speaking among students.

The Sports Meet is an opportunity for students of FMMC to showcase their talents, energy and sportsmanship on the field and The Annual Sports Meet 2019 – ‘IGNITE’ was able to do just the same.
The programme began with a March past by students of all batches followed by the Welcome Ceremony that was attended by members of the management, Chief Guest Mr. Vikas Puthran, the Physical Director of FMMC, staff and students.
Mr Vikas Puthran along with the other dignitaries declared the Sports Meet open by releasing balloons.
This was followed by a range of track and field events that witnessed overwhelming participation from the students and enthusiastic cheers from the spectators throughout the day.
Mr Ravindra Kumar (MBBS Batch 2016) was declared the best athlete of the meet. The event concluded with medals and participation certificates being distributed to the students by the Physical Director.
Father Muller Medical College inaugurated 4 new college clubs on 14th May 2019 under the initiative of the Student Council 2018-19. These include:

The chief guest, Mr Swastik Padma, recipient of the National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement in 2017, shared his experiences and innovations with the gathering
The introduction of College clubs saw an overwhelming response from the students who were passionate about improving their skills in various aspects and the clubs continue to fulfill their duties through regular sessions and fun activities.
The student council 2018-2109 of FMCI have taken pride in starting the Student Research Club, Quiz club and Debate Club to enhance their interest in extra-curricular activities. It was inaugurated on the 14th May 2018 at AV Hall, Father Muller Knowledge Centre. The function was presided by Rev Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI and the Chief Guest was Mr Swastik Padma, a young innovator by Heart and Entrepreneur by Mind. Mr Swastik is a student of Vivekananda Engineering College, Puttur and has great innovative ideas. He has won several prizes for his work and has attended several international conferences as a special invitee. He also has received a special appreciation by the President of India and has been rewarded.
Those who spoke on the occasion appreciated the contributions and the talent of Mr Swastik and advised the student council members and the club members to emulate Mr Padma and achieve greater heights.
Mr Padma was honoured by the management committee and wished him greater success iis future career.
The inaugural ceremony of the Students Council of Father Muller Medical College was held on 1 October 2018 at the Decennial Memorial Hall.
Riya Zahir, General Secretary of the student council (2017-18), extended a cordial welcome to the gathering.
Chief Guest, Dr Melanie Rodrigues, Instructor, Department of Surgery, Stanford University congratulated the newly elected student council representatives and wished them good luck. Emphasizing the importance of student council, she said, working as a student representative would not only benefit the institution but also boosts the students’ career. The potential to make Mangalore a major medical hub is within the ambit of the students. She further asked the students to always remain in the forefront whenever opportunities arise and make the most of them.
Rev. Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, Director, FMCI, while addressing the gathering, appreciated the previous council, for their hard work and congratulated the new student’s council and shared a few words of wisdom.
Rev. Fr Ajith B. Menezes, Administrator of Father Muller Medical College declared the new office bearers.Jerome Joseph handed over the college flag to Roshan Mariam Manu, which marked the beginning of the new student’s council.The new office bearers were then given their badges by the Chief Guest, following which, they vowed to uphold their duties as Student Council Members, by swearing an oath, guided by the Dean, FMMC, Dr Jayaprakash Alva.
Jerome Joseph shared his previous encounters, which was followed, by a speech, from the newly elected President, Roshan Mariam Manu who shared her thoughts, ideas, goals and agendas for the upcoming year.
Later, Rev. Fr Richard Coelho gave a memento of appreciation to the Chief Guest and presented the certificates to the members and the staff advisors of the previous council, for their extraordinary work and efforts.
Eileen Roy, General Secretary of the student council (2018-19) proposed the vote of thanks. Sushmitha Ravi Kumar compered the programme.
HOD’s of various departments, teaching, non-teaching staff and students of the institution were present on the occasion.
