Critical Care Unit
Critical care unit at Unity Hospital is a Level 3 - Intensive Care Unit well equipped to manage life-threatening conditions that require sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring. Critical cases like cardiac arrest, acute renal failure, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, stroke and seizers, respiratory compromise, accidents, major surgeries etc are taken care of by the expert team in the Critical Care Unit.
The equipment, infrastructure and the operating protocols at Unity Hospital Critical Care Unit conforms to the international standards. The patients are treated in individual patient cubicles under strict aseptic conditions. An intensivist will be present in the unit 24 x 7 and each patient will be allotted a dedicated nurse. High end monitors which are further connected to a Central Monitoring Station ensures constant monitoring of vital parameters.

Scope of Services
- Medical and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit
- Cardiac ICU provide intensive care to those with critical heart issues like heart attack, cardiomyopathy, heart infection, open heart surgery, bypass surgery etc.
- Neurological Intensive care unit
- The Neuro – ICU gives extensive attention to patients in case of ischemic stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal trauma, brain haemorrhage and any other damage to the nervous system.
- Surgical Intensive Care Unit
- Patients are treated in Surgical ICU in case of planned or emergency surgery, surgery after major injury or accident, organ transplantation or any other acute surgical illness.
- High-Dependency Unit.
- Patients who are recovering from the critical stage and those who need single organ support or pre-operative and post-operative care etc are usually admitted in HDU.
