ENT

OVERVIEW

Otorhinolaryngology is one of the earliest clinical departments of FMMC. We are adequately staffed with doctors specializing in different sub specialities like otology, rhinology and head & neck oncology. Post graduation course DNB started in 1992, before undergraduate course MS & DLO in 2000. Currently we have intake of three postgraduates per year, one Diploma and two MS.

We have a modest OPD setup with well equipped stations and facility to do nasal endoscopies and micro ear examinations. We run specific disease related clinics like vertigo and headache clinics on pre-specified days. We have a full fledged audiology unit who ably support us. We see approximately 130-150 patients per day and operate around 60-80 major and 250-300 minor procedures every month. We routinely perform mastoid and other microscopic ear surgeries, endoscopic sinus surgeries and head and neck surgeries for benign and malignant diseases. We also undertake outreach services like health camps on regular basis.
