RED RIBBON CLUB

Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a voluntary on-campus intervention implemented in Father Muller College of Nursing aimed at creating awareness about the high-risk perception and preventing HIV as well as promoting voluntary blood donation.

OBJECTIVES OF RED RIBBON CLUBS

  • To increase awareness among youth on sexual reproductive health and fight against HIV/AIDS.
  • To induce among youth the spirit to help and support People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV) thereby reducing stigma and discrimination against them.
  • To promote Voluntary non-remunerated Blood Donation among youth
  • To impart skills among youth on self-protection, negotiation, and effective group interaction.

Report on Blood Donation camp

Ribbon Club of Father Muller College of Nursing, Blood Bank of donation camp of Father Muller Medical College Hospital & Vishwa Hindu Parishath Bajarangadala Shakthinagara, collaboratively organized Blood Donation Camp at Nalya Padavu School Shakthinagara Mangalore on 06/12/2020. The program started with ignoration at 9.00 am followed by voluntary blood donation by the public. Nearly 29 people donated the blood. Four volunteers of Red Ribbon Club, Father Muller College of Nursing has participated for this event along with Red Ribbon club Coordinator Mr. Abin Kuriakose.
